We are pleased to announce that the Library of the Research Center for Classical German Philosophy / Hegel Archive has moved into its new, prestigious location on the fourth floor of our library building. With a collection of approximately 8,000 titles, it ranks among the world’s leading research libraries on Hegel’s philosophy.
On May 7, 2026, the grand opening took the form of a small reception. Visitors had the opportunity to explore the new library and learn about its significant collection on Hegel’s philosophy.
Following the reception, guest of honor Prof. Terry Pinkard from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., delivered a lecture titled “Geist within nature,” which drew a large audience. The next day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., he led a workshop on his new book manuscript, “Hegel, Dewey, Democracy.” The workshop offered an exclusive opportunity to engage intensively with the latest research findings and to participate in a scholarly exchange.
We cordially invite you to visit the new Hegel Research Library on Level 4 of our building during our opening hours!
