The green parking disk in the University Library

As our workstations are currently very busy and we have received feedback from users that workstations are being reserved for hours at a time, we have decided to introduce the green parking disk.

From January 23, 2026, the green parking discs will be available again at all workstations in the University Library (in the stacks and in the stairwell).

How do I use the parking disk?

  • When you leave your workstation, set the parking disk to the current time. Your space will then be reserved for a maximum of 30 minutes (between 12 noon and 2 pm for a maximum of 60 minutes).
  • After this time has elapsed, other users may place your materials in the blue baskets (and put them under the work table) or move them aside. The table may then be reoccupied.
  • Seats without a parking disc or with an incorrectly set parking disk may also be reoccupied.
  • If the parking disk is set correctly but there are no learning materials there, the seat may be reoccupied.

If you have any questions or uncertainties, please contact our colleagues at the Information and Service desk.

Please handle other people's belongings with care and do not leave any valuables at your seat when you leave! Please note that we do not accept any liability for items left unattended in the library.

We count on your cooperation!
