New RUB FDM network meets at the University Library
On November 18, 2025, the kick-off meeting of the new RDM network at Ruhr University Bochum took place at the University Library as part of Research Data Day in North Rhine-Westphalia. The meeting was planned by the Research Data Services (RDS) of the RUB. This team consists of employees from IT.SERVICES and the RDM team of the University Library. The new network is aimed at people who are intensively involved in Research Data Management (RDM), such as data stewards or RDM experts engaged in research.
More than 25 participants from all disciplines at RUB – from the humanities to medicine – engaged in lively discussions and defined the framework and priorities for future networking activities. Among other things, best practices for RDM workflows, research data storage, and electronic lab books were identified as important topics.
