Library regulations of the Faculty Library for Chemistry and Biochemistry:

  • The library of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biochemistry is a reference library.
  • Bags, rucksacks and coats may be taken into the library. The Faculty Library or Ruhr-Universität Bochum is not liable for the loss or damage of items brought into the library by a user. It is possible to use lockers (deposit 2€) outside the library.
  • In the interest of the users, silence must be maintained in the library. Smoking, eating and making phone calls (cell phones) are not permitted in the library. Bottled water may be brought in as a drink.
  • The items in the library or in the stacks cannot be borrowed. Copying facilities are available in the library.
  • Only academic and study-related research is permitted at the computer workstations. Private surfing or the sending of personal letters, as well as changes to the system settings of the computers are not permitted.

Stock

Journals of current subscriptions from 2013 only online! Older stocks (print only) are in the magazine and can be issued on request.

Scifinder

The Scifinder can be used indefinitely in the Faculty of Chemistry and Biochemistry. For members of other faculties, Dr. D. Wolters is available as contact person.

The use is only possible after registration with an e-mail address of the Ruhr-University Bochum!
