LibKey Nomad is an AI-supported browser extension that indicates whether the full text of a journal article or an e-book is licensed for RUB or open-access while you search the internet on various online platforms (e.g. Google Scholar, PubMed, Wikipedia, publishers' or booksellers' online stores) and finds the fastest way to it with AI support - simply by clicking on the green icon below the reference.
In addition, LibKey warns about the retracted status of an article by including Retraction Watch data and thus makes an important contribution to checking the scientific integrity of publications.
Here is an example from Wikipedia:
Download the plug-in from the download page of the producer Third Iron here..
After installation in your browser, select Ruhr-Universität-Bochum under Select Organization.
As long as the extension is active (*), you can now access the full text of the article or e-book directly from many websites with one click, without having to check in the Primo library catalog whether the RUB has acquired access to it.
Try it out and use the direct path from the web to the licensed full texts of the RUB and Open Access articles!
