Save the Date: RUB RDM Network at the University Library

The RDS network at Ruhr University Bochum recently held another meeting at the university library. The event was organized by RUB’s Research Data Services (RDS), a joint initiative of IT.SERVICES and the Team Research Data Management of the University Library Bochum. 17 participants from various disciplines took the opportunity to discuss current challenges in research data management (RDM). The meeting focused on data workflows in everyday research.

Following a brief overview of current developments—including the establishment of an RDS Advisory Board and new training opportunities—network members shared insights into the implementation of RDS in their respective fields through short practical presentations. Afterward, participants discussed various aspects of research data management and exchanged experiences in a World Café format. This once again highlighted the value of interdisciplinary exchange within the network.

Are you a researcher at RUB and would like to join the RDS network? Then please feel free to attend the next meeting at June 10, 2026 (2 pm to 4 pm., online). It focuses on the topic of data storage.
