“Who Owns Research Data?” – The University Library’s RDM experts are here to help!
Research data is an integral and valuable component of scientific projects. Questions regarding the legal framework for the creation, collection, handling, and (re)use of research data therefore arise as early as one’s first independent research project: the dissertation.
That is why colleagues from the Bochum University Library, as part of the Research Data Services team, will participate in this year’s Science College of the RUB Research School on July 14, 2026, with a featured presentation on the topic “Who ‘owns’ the data? – Rights, Responsibilities, and Research Data in Germany.”
